Defense Minister: Work of Chadian - Sudanese joint forces will be extended for another year due to its success

 

N'djamena, March. 17 (SUNA) - The Minister of National Defense, Gen. Abdu Rahim Mohamed Hussein, affirmed that the work of the joint Chadian - Sudanese forces will be extended for another year due to the successes that it has achieved by making the border between the two countries an area of development, contacts, trade exchange and of social and cultural ties

 

The minister affirmed upon arrival at N'djamena airport that it is clear cut that the relations between the two countries will not go backward, adding that the relations between Sudan and Chad are progressing toward the integration in all fields

 

He said that the purpose of his visit to the Chadian capital N'djamena is to participate in the second conference for assessment of the Chadian - Sudanese Joint Forces, the transfer of the joint forces command to the Sudanese side and for the continuation of the distinguished relationship between the two countries in all spheres

 

He pointed out that Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, is carrying a message of support from the President of the Republic to this brother the President of Chad, Idris Deby

 

Meanwhile, the Chadian Defense Minister, Gen. Bushara Issa emphasized the keenness of the Chadian leadership to boost the historic relations between the two countries in all fields

 

He expressed his pleasure over the participation of the Minister of Defense, Gen. Abdul- Rahim Mohamed Hussein, in the second conference for assessment of the performance of the Joint Forces

 

He said that the visit aims to enhance the military relations between the two countries, indicating that the mutual ties and contacts between the tribes in the two countries represent a strong impetus for the economic and trade cooperation
