Deby: Sudan and Chad are Moving Ahead in Path of Cooperation and Fraternity
N'djamena, July 21 (SUNA)- The Chadian President, Idris Deby, has described the visit of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, to N'djamena to participate in the Summit of the Sahel and Sahara, as a very important event
Sudan and Chad have surpassed a period of bitterness in the relations between them and opened a new chapter in the cooperation and fraternal relations between them
President Deby said that Sudan and Chad have left behind them a period of differences and now proceeding in the path of cooperation
President Al-Bashir said in a statement to the press upon his arrival at N'djamena Airport that Sudan and Chad are one nation and the normal situation is the exchange of visits by them
He said that normalization of the Sudanese - Chadian relations is for the interest of the two peoples
SUNA learned that Presidents Al-Bashir and Deby discussed in their meeting the means of re-opening and rehabilitating the roads between Sudan and Chad, establishment of a railway line between the two countries and lighting of the villages at the Sudanese - Chadian border
SUNA learned that tens of vehicles and trucks began to move across the border between the two countries
