of Ministers briefed on meetings of Higher Sudanese-Egyptian
Committee
Khartoum, March 31 (SUNA) - The Council of Ministers
heard in its regular sitting of Thursday, headed by Vice President of the
Republic Ali Osman Mohamed Taha at the National Control Center of the Ministry
of Electricity and Dams, a briefing on the meetings of the higher Joint Sudanese
- Egyptian Committee, held recently in Khartoum
The report was presented by the Minister of International Cooperation,
Dr. Jalal Yousif Al-Degair
The spokesman of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Omer Mohamed Salih, said
in a press statement that Dr. Al-Degair explained in the report that the
meetings of the joint higher Sudanese - Egyptian committee were characterized by
the spirit of fraternity and frankness in the introduction of the issues and in
dealing with the projects forwarded by the two sides
Salih said that, Dr. Al-Degair, stated that the meetings were concluded
by the signing a number of memos of understanding and agreements for creation of
genuine integration in the two countries in all political and economic spheres
Dr. Salih added that the cabinet expressed satisfaction over the outcome
of the visit of the Egyptian Premier to the country which opened wide horizons
for cooperation supported by strong political will for implementing projects to
realize the joint interests of the two countries
He pointing out that the Council of Ministers got assured about the
implementation of all what was agreed upon and forwarding initiatives serving
the distinguished bonds between Sudan and Egypt
It is worth mentioning that the visit of the delegation of Egyptian Prime
Minister to Sudan is deemed as the first visit made by the Egyptian government
since eruption of the Revolution of January 25 in Egypt
