Chadian Delegation Visits El-Fasher to Arrange for Return of Chadian Opposition
El-Fasher, Aug.30 (SUNA) - North Darfur State's Wali (governor) Osman Mohamed Yousuf Kibir, received at the premises of the state's government Monday a Chadian delegation, which is currently on visit to Sudan, led by the Minister Abdul-Rahman Musa
The delegation came to Sudan with the aim to arrange and facilitate the return of the Chadian opposition which expressed desire to return to Chad following the presidential amnesty issued by the Chadian President, Idris Deby
The Wali (governor) said that the visit affirmed firmness of the fraternal relations between Sudan and Chad and that each of them is a natural geographical, human and cultural extension to the other
He referred to the good outcomes of the visits exchanged between President Al- Bashir and President Idris Deby
Kibir pledged full cooperation with Chadian Government to facilitate the return of the Chadian opposition home to contribute to boosting the peace and stability in their country
Head of Chadian delegation, Abdul-Rahman Musa, said that the aim of the delegation's visit to El-Fasher was aimed to thanking the Government of Sudan for the efforts it has done to resolve the pending issues top of them is the return of the Chadian opposition to Chad as reactivation to an agreement reached by the two Presidents in the past months
In related development, the Chadian minister addressed the opening sitting of the Five-Year Strategic Planning Forum which started Monday in El-Fasher
He referred in his address to the historic ties between Sudan and Chad
On the allegations of the International Criminal Court ( ICC) against Sudan, the Chadian minister said that the Chad is adherent to its position despite the western pressures, calling on peoples of Sudan and Chad to strongly support their leaderships for protecting stability and development in their two countries
Musa disclosed in a press conference he held following his meetings in Al-Fasher that hundreds of the Chadian opposition elements in Darfur will be transported tomorrow (Tuesday) to Chad by air flights
The Chadian delegation which is headed by the Minister Musa Abdul-Rahman included the First Deputy of the Chadian Parliament's Speaker and a number of President Debby's advisors and a number of officers in Chadian Armed Forces and security organs. BH/MO
