Doha, Mar.30 (SUNA)-President of the Republic, Field
Marshal Omer Al-Bashir has stressed that the Government would not accept holding
referendum about Abyei area without participation of Messairyia tribe
Addressing the Sudanese community in Qatar Wednesday, President Al-Bashir
said Southern citizens who chose separation could not be expected to enjoy
double nationalities
He underscored the Government's concern with the South Sudan stability
and that the North will help the South build its state
Meanwhile, the President said the coming period requires accord of
political forces to formulate the country's permanent constitution, renewing the
government's keenness to realize peace in Darfur, referring in this regard to
efforts made by the Government in fields of effecting development in the region,
reconciliation and the return of displaced and the refugees back to their home
areas
President Al-Bashir commended Qatari efforts on achieving peace in Sudan,
saying Qatar's patience on hosting the Darfur negotiations was affirmation to
its concern with Sudan interests
He added that Qatar defends Sudan interests at the regional and
international arenas, describing Sudan relations with Qatar as excellent.
President Al-Bashir revealed that the coming period would witness launching
development programs in the country and reaching an inclusive peace deal for
Darfur
He further added that some development projects will be implemented
within the coming period covering domains of sugar, gum Arabic, and oil seeds
and graduates employment
President Al-Bashir pointed out that the government has prepared plans
for irrigating hundreds of thousands of fedans in central Sudan and other plans
for the heightening of Rorusairis Dam
