Additional loan of 84 million dollars for electricity of Atbara and Setait dams
Khartoum, Feb. 10 (SUNA) - An agreement on additional loan at 24 million Kuwaiti dinars (84 million dollars) for the project of electricity generation station at the Atbara and Setet was signed Thursday at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy
The was loan extended by the Arabic Fund for socio-economic development to the government of Sudan
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance and national Economy, Dr. Al-Tayeb Abu-Ganaya, has signed on behalf of the government of Sudan and Dr. Samir Al-Qotbi for the fund, in the presence of the State Minister at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Dr. Marial Owaw Yul, and the Director of the Projects' Administration at the Dams Implementation Unit (DIU), Engineer Mutaz Musa
Dr. Yul lauded the efforts of the fund and funding of fair amount of vital projects in Sudan, referring to the firm relations between the fund and Sudan, affirming his ministry commitment to cooperate with the fund in all domains, expressing his hope that the fund's financing extends to the south Sudan
