HOW DOES MR. PRESIDENT SALVA KIIR THINK ABOUT ATROCITIES CARRIED OUT BY SPLA FORCES IN
PIGI
COUNTY?

I think President Salva has distant himself from those atrocities committed by SPLA forces. Why should President Kiir keep quiet and the atrocities carried out by SPLA forces and has been reported since day one? It is because he knows what was going on and that is his wish for the army to rape, loot, and torture the civilian of that area.
The atrocities carried out by SPLA forces in Pigi County was under the command of Major General Jok Riak from Dinka Bor and Major General Bol Kong, the mass destruction in the area of Alam, Korwac, Mareeng and Koliet Payams. The atrocities carried out which include raping, looting and torturing has reached the highest stage. The forces committed crimes against innocent civilians as repeated incident of the same atrocities committed during the Twenty One year of war. Such act has been condemned and those who ordered the army to execute such kind of crimes, are supposed to be brought to justice because it is a crimes against humanity. Here, when your subordinate commits offense, it means you are the one who order them to carry out such offenses, and likewise, President Salva Kiir must be accountable to all atrocities committed by his Subordinates in that area. All around the world, such atrocities have been done and the law could not forgive those who exercised such crimes against innocent civilians.
Moreover, the long awaited and unsolved expostulation is spreading everywhere in the South. What is said by Arab from the North that "
Southern Sudan can not be able to govern themselves", is true now. When minor cases are difficult to be solved, it means that the government is very weak to solve its own problem. And this problem is going to undermine the self determination for the people of Southern Sudan, because President Salva is unable to solve his home problem, for example, the fighting between Aguook and LuanyJang and Twic by themselves in
Warrap
State. I am appealing to you elders and paramount chiefs of
Jonglei
State, to seek for peaceful settlement of that problem between your sons; it is today in
Pigi
County and tomorrow it will be in
Bor
County, the looting of civilian properties and many others.
General George Athor Deng is always calling all of you to seek for a peaceful solution instead of military action. The war can not solve the case, and it is exaggeration of unwanted or unexpected surpluses. Dinka Bor boys usually make comments on the internet, wishing war against Dinka Padang, please I advise you boys to restraint from such comments, because Padang Community can not be faced by you, we generally know that Dinka Bor are weak people. Instead of saying
Padang in general, you can not stand in front of the four sections in
Pigi
County, which make up only one percent of
Padang, unless you fight them with your tongues but in reality no way. In Jonglei, there are people who can confront
Padang community but not you Dinka Bor. Dear brothers let us seek for peaceful solution of this conflict for a peace co-existence.
Hence, people misunderstood what Gen. Athor demanded. According to the source which I got information, said the elections rigging was done intentionally against the General and even President Salva Kiir himself said it in his Campaign in Jonglei that "whether Gov. Kuol Manyang is going to loose election or not, he is going to the next governor of Jonglei State", and at the same time, they (Government of Southern Sudan) used to send forces to capture Gen. George Athor from his hometown for no reason, but the truth is that, it was the plans by war mongers who are fuelling this conflict to happen exactly as they intended to.
I call upon all the Southern Sudanese to immediately pressure the Government of Southern Sudan, and the President Salva in particular to accept peaceful settlement with Gen. George Athor Deng and the rest of Southern Sudanese who are deprived of their rights during the massive rigged democratic elections or else this might lead to unpleasant situation in the region.
