Memorandum of understanding between JEM and KAD

Following constructive debate between JEM and Kordofan Association for Development (KAD) and realising that the two organisations are bound by the same aims, objectives and destiny, JEM and KAD have signed an agreement that commits the parties to the following:

1.       Commitment of both parties to putting an end to minority rule in Khartoum.   JEM and KAD thus invites all movements of the marginalised areas and national activists to come together and form a National Redemption Government of Sudan in exile with the objective of filling up any political vacuum in the country.

2.       JEM and KAD have agreed to unify their military activities as of now and at all levels.

3.       Commitment to dialogue and coordination of activities with regard to all matters pertaining to interests of marginalised people and the nation at large.   Relevant committees will be established to that effect.

4.       Commitment of both parties to their national objectives towards building a united Sudan that is inclusive and sovereign.

5.       Coordination with all political movements and independent national personalities in the Sudan and abroad and who believe in fair division of wealth and power in the country.

6.       This agreement is binding and remains open for further enlargement.
