Taha Affirms State Commitment to Expand Security and Stability all over the Country
Khartoum, May 18 (SUNA)- Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha, has affirmed the state's concern with provision of security and stability all over the country, stressing the importance of patching up the rift in the social fabric through consolidating the spirit of fraternity and co-existence
Addressing a celebration marking payment of the first batch of Diyya (blood money) in implementation of the decisions of the reconciliatory conference between Messairiya and Rezeigat tribes Tuesday at the Federal Government Chamber, Taha said that lives of people shall only be sacrifices for the defence of the faith and the homeland, rather than in disputes between tribes
He said that the problems that occur from time to time between tribes are solvable by law, reconciliatory councils and settlement
He called for adherence to the lofty values of religion for consolidating the principle of peaceful co-existence in the society
Taha announced the state pledge to solve the water shortages at the area of Messairiya and Rezeigat, stressing that the state is exerting great efforts to realize development all over the country
