 Sudanese ambassador calls on Taseer

LAHORE Sudanese ambassador in Pakistan Mohammed Omer Musa called on Punjab governor Salman Taseer on Wednesday. Matters relating to bilateral ties between the countries came under discussion during the meeting. Talking to the diplomat, the Punjab governor said unique, historical and rich culture of Punjab had marvelous traditions of love, peace and hospitality. The people of Punjab were very tolerant, affectionate and had no liking for terrorism. Taseer said Punjab was playing a vital role in strengthening the country�s economy and the government of Pakistan had introduced business-friendly policies to safeguard the investment of the investors. The governor stated the economic and social relations between Sudan and Pakistan would be mutually beneficial, adding the government would welcome the Sudani investors in Punjab. He said Islam is a religion of peace and love, terrorist had no link with Islam. The whole nation is united against terrorism and our armed forces are getting tremendous achievements in the war against terrorism, he added. The Sudanese ambassador said that Pakistan was a brotherly Islamic country who had always extended support to Sudan.
