Sudan Affirms its Solidarity with Eritrea
Asmara, Mar. 5 (SUNA) - Sudan has affirmed its solidarity with Eritrea in the face of the unjust international resolutions issued against it by the Security Council
This was affirmed at a meeting held Friday in Asmara between the visiting President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, and the President of Eritrea, Assais Afwerki
In a statement to SUNA, the Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, said that the one-day visit paid by President Al-Bashir to Asmara was aimed to assure Sudan solidarity with the Eritrean people
He said that President Al-Bashir has reiterated during the visit the firm stand of the Sudanese people in support of the Eritrean people, affirming the capability of the Eritrean people to surpass the unfair international resolutions
Dr. Ismail said that the two presidents discussed progress of the bilateral relations and regional and international issues
