Six Darfurian Political and Military Movements Unite in One Body in Response to Call of the Libyan Leader
Tripoli, Jan. 18 (SUNA)- Six Darfurian political and military movements have declared their unity in one political body, to be called Sudan Liberation Movement - the Revolutionary Forces) in response to a call of the Libyan Leader, Muammar Al-Qaddafi, on the different Darfurian factions and movements to unite toward reaching a final solution for Darfur issue. The declaration on the unity of the six political and armed movements was issued at a meeting of they held Sunday evening in Tripoli in the presence of political leaders and field commanders of these movements, a number of the Darfurian civil society personalities including Dr. Al-Hassan Tajal-Eddin, Gen. Ibrahim Suleiman, Dr. Tigani Sessi, the Secretary of the Libyan General People's Committee for External Liaison and International Cooperation, the French envoy on Darfur issue along with a number of the heads of the diplomatic corps accredited to Libya. The six movements declared their adherence to the option of peace negotiation as a strategic option for reaching a just and lasting peace in Darfur. MO/MO
