Salva Kiir Meets British and American Envoys
Khartoum, May 6 (SUNA)- The First Vice - President of the Republic and President of the Government of South Sudan, Salva Kiir, Thursday received in Juba the British envoy for Sudan, Michael Olen, and discussed the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), the preparations for the referendum in south Sudan and the post-election challenges in Sudan
The British envoy has affirmed his country's support to the democratic progress in Sudan and holding of the referendum in south Sudan
Kiir also received the American envoy for Sudan, Scott Gration, and reviewed the political situation in Sudan
Gration stated that self-determination for south Sudan is key issue in the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and stressed that the referendum process shall be fair and transparent
