SPLM Decides to Boycott the Elections in the Northern States Excluding South Kordofan and the Blue Nile States
Khartoum, April 6 (SUNA) - Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) has decided to boycott the elections at all levels in the northern states, excluding the Blue Nile and South Kordofan States
In a statement he read over to the press and media men the secretary General of the SPLM, Bagan Amum, announced the committee assigned by the SPLM leadership to assess the elections got assured, after discussion and evaluation of the elections in the North Sector and reviewing reports on the elections in the northern states , of occurrence of rigging and continuous violations in a manner that makes it impossible holding of free and fair elections
Amum attributed boycott of the SPLM to the elections in the three states of Darfur to the existence of the state of emergency, calling for holding the elections in Darfur states after cessation of the war
