Regional Conference of African Health Ministers Begins in Khartoum
Khartoum, Feb. 11 (SUNA) - The Presidential Advisor, Dr. Ahmed Bilal Osman, has affirmed the concern of the Political and Health Sectors on the cooperation and coordination between Sudan and the neighboring countries in the field of health toward combating diseases epidemics in Africa
This came when Dr Bilal was addressing Thursday the inaugural session of the Regional Meeting of the African Medical Network, which is organized at the Soba Heart Center in collaboration with the Italian Emergency Organization
He affirmed the support of the government and the civil society organizations to the establishment of heart centers in the neighboring countries to carry out free of charge open heart surgery operations
The federal Minister of Health, Thabita Botrus, affirmed that the meeting aimed at exchanging of views and information to enable the Regional Medical Network of the doctors in the African countries to establish similar centers. IF/MO
