Presidents Al-Bashir and Mubarak Hold Talks in Sharmal-Sheikh
Cairo, April 27 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Tuesday held talks with the Egyptian President, Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, in Sharmal-Sheikh city, that included the latest developments in the Sudanese arena
At the outset of talks, President Al-Bashir congratulated President Mubarak on his recovery following the surgical operation which he underwent in Germany. President Mubarak congratulated Al-Bashir on his election and affirmed the keenness of his country to boost realization of stability, peace and unity in Sudan
SUNA learned that Presidents Al-Bashir and Mubarak have deliberated about the peace process and the post elections stage in Sudan
President Al-Bashir affirmed his keenness to work for completing implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and boost Sudan unity
The meeting also discussed the situation in Darfur a number of issues of mutual concern which included means of expanding the economic cooperation and the investment between Sudan and Egypt, besides the current developments at the Arab arena
