President of Republic attends the closing ceremony of the National School Tournament
Khartoum, Jan. 14 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Basher has announced that Sudan was now experiencing new phase represented in the coming elections which should involve all Sudanese people, especially the people of Darfur, affirming that the government will impose security to guarantee a fair and free election
The President, addressing the closing session of the National School Tournament at Al-Fashir Stadium, Thursday directed all government officials to give due attention to the school activities through provision of all the requested needs
The President pointed out that the holding of the tournament in Al-Fasher has proved that Darfur was safe and stable, calling on those who carry guns to work for boosting services to allow people enjoy life away from conflict, expressing regret that the students of South Sudan did not participate in the tournament, stressing nevertheless that the next tournament will be organized in Juba
The occasion was also addressed by the Governor of North Darfur State, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir
