President Al-Bashir Returns Home after Participating in African Summit in Addis Ababa
Khartoum, Feb. 1 (SUNA)- President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Monday evening returned home after his participation at the 14th African Union Summit in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa
In a statement to SUNA at Khartoum Airport, the Presidential Advisor, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, who accompanied President Al-Bashir to the summit, said that the President of the Republic has participated at the summits of NEPAD, the Peers Mechanism,Great Lakes and the African Summit for Combating Malaria
He said that the African Union Summit has reviewed issues of peace in Africa along with Darfur issue, the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and the elections in Sudan
Dr. Ismail said that President Al-Bashir invited the African Union to participate in the monitoring of the coming elections in Sudan. MO/MO
