President Al-Bashir Receives Message from President Kibaki

 

Khartoum, May 28 (SUNA) - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has received a written message from the Kenyan President, Muwai Kibaki, dealing with the bilateral relations and Kenya's support to Sudan

 

The message was handed over to President Al-Bashir by the visiting Kenyan Vice President, Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, at the Guest House Friday after noon

 

The Kenyan Vice President said in a statement to SUNA that the message deals with the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, explaining that President Al-Bashir affirmed the government keenness to maintain the realized peace and that there will be no return to war

 

Musyoka affirmed Kenya's keenness to boost the stability of Sudan regardless of the outcome of the upcoming referendum

 

Meanwhile, the State Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ali Karti, appreciated the Kenyan stances in supporting Sudan, adding that the Kenyan Vice - President Musyoka is an old friend of Sudan through his support to the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)

 

Meanwhile, Karti said that the great celebrations on the inauguration of the President took place amid wide regional and international presence, a matter that reflected the world's positive vision toward Sudan which is contrary to that of the enemies of Sudan

 

Kartir refuted the claim that the Arab presence in the inauguration of the President was not considerable, saying that the high committee got satisfied with the invitation of nine neighbouring countries, seven countries of them have participated in the inauguration, besides the Chairman of the African Union and the representative of China for for its honourable stances and support to Sudan. He affirmed that all the Arab Presidents and Kings have phoned the President of the Republic and congratulated him on his inauguration for a new presidential term. MF/MO
