Parliament Ends it Session and Goes into Three-Month Leave

 

Khartoum, Dec. 30 (SUNA)- The Parliament Wednesday ended its session and decided to be on call till the holding of the elections and formation of the elected parliament. The Speaker of the Parliament, Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Tahir, said that the Parliament will be in a recess during the coming three months till issuance of a Presidential Decree to terminate the Parliament's session finally. Al-Tahir said that the Presidency is entitled to summon the Parliament to resume its sitting during the three-month vacation. He indicated that the new elected Parliament will be more legitimate and authorized by the people and will have a recognized opposition, a matter that will necessitate amendment of the Parliament Regulation.
