Official of Darfur File: No Secret Agreement was Reached with Justice and Equality Movement on Release of Brothers of Dr. Khalil Ibarim
Khartoum, June 28 (SUNA)- The Presidential Advisor and the official of Darfur file, Dr. Ghazi Salahuddin, has denied signing of any secret agreement between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement at the latest negotiation session in Doha on release of the brothers of Dr. Khalil Ibrahim. The allegation in this regard was given by one of the leading figures of the Justice and Equality Movement. Dr. Salahuddin inquired about the benefit that the government would gain if it has signed an agreement like this. He reiterated the government readiness for negotiation with any movement of serious agenda other than the Justice and Equality Movement which is now unavailable. He said that the government is ready for consultation with the joint UN - African Union mediator, Djibril Bassole and the State of Qatar on ways to speed up the negotiation process. The Presidential Advisor indicated that there are other movements which are available and have desire for negotiation, adding that these movements will find the government quite ready and serious for negotiations. He reviewed the government rejection to all the attempts to link Darfur file with normalization of the Sudanese - American relations. MO/MO
