Nomination of the candidates for the elections Begins
Khartoum, Jan. 12 (SUNA) - The National Elections Commission (NEC) and its higher committees at the states began Tuesday receiving of the nomination applications of the candidates for the elections, scheduled to be held next April
Chairman of the National Elections Commission, Abel Alier, said in press statement that the elections encompasses competing for the executive positions of the President of the Republic, President of the South Sudan Government and the States' Walis (governors). And the legislative positions include the National Legislative Commission, the Southern Sudan Legislative Council and the State' Legislative Councils, Alier added
It is to be noted that the receiving of the nomination applications will continue until January 22nd
