National Congress affirms necessity of effective participation in elections process
Khartoum, April 2 (SUNA) - Ali Ahmed Karti, the National Congress's candidate for the National Assembly for the Constituency No 7, Southern Shendi in the River Nile State, affirmed the importance of the coming elections as a crucial contribution in the democratic transformation in the country. Speaking Thursday evening to a gathering at the Ad-Diumab area, South Shendi, Karti called on the people to participate effectively in the election process. In this connection, he described those who call for delaying the elections as illusive and disappointed and that they would never halt the demarche of the Salvation Revolution, reiterating that the National Congress would remain loyal to the people of Sudan. Meanwhile, Representative of the National Congress in Shendi, Ali Karmoush, highlighted the contributions of the people of area in establishing peace and unity, stressing the importance of establishing good governance in Sudan.
