NEC Delegation Meets Agar
Damazine, April. 20 (SUNA) - The delegation of the National Election Commission (NEC) chaired by Prof. Mukhtar Al-Assam was briefed Tuesday by the Wali (governor) of the Blue Nile State, Gen. Malik Aggar on the security situation in the state on light of the press statements of the Chirman of the North Sector of Sudan Peoples' Liberation Movement (SPLM), Yasser Arman, Aggar expressed his confidence on the High Committee for the Elections in the Blue Nile State, stating that the SPLM will accept the results of the elections
He described the security enforcements in the state as unjustifiable
He attributed the recent security measures to false reports and negative statements on the results of the elections in the state
The Wali has called for speeding up to the announcement of the result to diffuse tension, adding that what was stated by Arman represents SPLM's point of view
