Munir Sheikh-Eddin of New National Democratic Party Declares his Election Programme for the Presidency

 

Khartoum, Mar. 2 (SUNA) - The nominee of the New National Democratic Party for the presidency, Munir Sheikh-Eddin, Tuesday launched his election programme

 

In the internal policy, he pledged to adhere to the unity of Sudan, affirming his rejection to division of Sudan

 

He said that he will adopt the concept of the nonfederal state and giving more jurisdictions to the states

 

Sheikh-Eddin said that he will adopt the concept of free of charge and compulsory education from the level of the kindergarten till the level of the secondary school

 

He promised to carry out rehabilitation of the existing hospitals in a manner which copes with the international standards of hospitals

 

Sheikh-Eddin said that he will design a proper solution for Darfur issue which he regarded as a political, developmental and social issue of internal, regional and international dimensions

 

He promised to give a special concern to the issues of the youths, women and children, the people of special needs in addition to enhancement of the civil service and conditions of workers, students and employees at both the public and private sectors

 

He also pledged to enhance the national economy by adopting the free economic policy and combating monopoly

 

Sheikh-Eddin said that will work to enhance the petroleum industry and the mass media, culture and arts in the country which is characterized by the diversity in cultures

 

He also pledged to promote Sudan's diplomatic relations with other countries on the basis of the mutual interest, stressing that he will adhere to the policies of good neighbourliness and non-intervention in the domestic affairs of others
