Mbeki Acquainted with Arrangements for Holding the Elections
Khartoum, Mar. 30 (SUNA) - Chairman of the National Elections Commission, Abil Alier, Tuesday received in his office chairman of the African Union's committee on Darfur, Thabo Mbeki, and reviewed the ongoing preparations for holding the elections in the fixed time of April 11
The meeting was attended by members of the National Elections Commission. In a press statement after the meeting, Mbeki said that deliberated with members of the National Elections Commission on the objectives of his visit for reviewing the arrangements for holding the elections
He said that members of the commission have affirmed completion of all the arrangements for carrying out the elections, and that all materials of the voting were transported to the states
