Loan of 104 Million Dollars to Fund Establishment of White Nile Sugar Project
Khartoum, April 5 (SUNA) - The Government of Sudan and the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development Monday signed a loan agreement of 30 million Kuwaiti dinars (equal to 104 million dollars) as contribution for establishment of the White Nile Sugar project
The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Annual Joint Meetings of the Arab Financial Institutions in Khartoum
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, signed for Sudan Government, while the General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development, Abdul-Latif Yousif Al-Hamad, signed for the fund
At the signing ceremony, Dr. Al-Jaz appreciated the role of the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development for contributing to the funding of development projects in the country
He referred to vast potentialities of Sudan which enables it to play a major role for guaranteeing Arab food security
Meanwhile, Al-Hamad affirmed the fund keenness to contribute to the establishment of socio-economic development projects in Sudan
