Khartoum state governor commends the role of Rev. Felo Thous Parag in cementing the spirit of religious tolerance in Sudan

 

Khartoum, Jan. 8 (SUNA) - The Governor of Khartoum State, Dr Abdul Rahaman Al Khidir on Friday commended the role played by Rev. Felo Thous Parag, head of the Two Martyrs Church, in the religious coexistence and tolerance among the various religious sects in the country

 

The Governor accompanied by Dr Mandour Mahadi, the Deputy President of the National Congress party in the state and Ms Amira Al Fadil, the Minister for Social Welfare in Khartoum, paid a curtsy visit to the house of the Rev to congratulate him on the occasion of the Christmas celebration for the Oriental Churches

 

The governor has stressed the keenness of the state in realizing national unity and fusion between the various religious sects in Sudan and underlined the need for upholding the values of tolerance and nationalism

 

Rev. Parag has meanwhile commended the state efforts in realizing unity, peace and in maintaining the spirit of tolerance and coexistence among the various religious groups and sects in the country
