Foreign Ministry Criticizes Production of Danish Film on Imaginary Situation in Darfur

Khartoum, Jan. 4 (SUNA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has regarded the trend of a Danish company to produce a film named "Revenge" to portray imaginary conditions in Darfur as representing a new move of hostile forces that remained working to prolong the period of war in Darfur region. The spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Muawiya Osman Khalid, said in a press statement Monday that the production of this racial film is considered a new extension to the notorious "Sedition" film and the cartoons insulting to Prophet Mohamed (Peace be Upon Him). Khalid said that the Danish Revenge film was pictured at Kukobi displaced camp in the Kenyan Jiljil town after it has deceived the black skin displaced people there by money so as to play the role of victims of war in Darfur while yellow skin persons played the role of attacking Arabs. He said that each participant in this film was given money ranging from 2000 to 5000 Kenyan shilling, adding that the producers of this film are working to display this film in the first half of the current year 2010. The population at Kukobi camp began launching a campaign against this film on ground that it is instigating hatred among the Sudanese people and would impede the process for re aching peace in Darfur. They also expressed their determination to sue the producing Danish company for committing cheating. MO/MO
