Emir of Qatar: the World will Shortly See Peace in Darfur
Doha, Feb. 24 (SUNA) - The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, expressed his optimism that peace will soon be reached in Darfur. At a press conference he held Tuesday after the signing of the framework between the government and the Justice and Equality Movement in Doha, the Emir of Qatar pointed out that the world will see peace be achieved in Darfur
He stressed the importance of the confidence of all the Sudanese factions on necessity of peace, hoping that the other Darfurian movements will join the peace process
The Emir of Qatar said that any movement can join the signed framework agreement
He said development, stability and progress can not be reached without prevalence of peace
He said that Qatar is committed to establish Darfur Development Bank with a capital of one billion dollars. MO/MO
