EU Calls for Reconsideration of Studying Nile Water File
Cairo, May. 13 (SUNA) - The Representative of the European Union (EU) to Egypt, Marco Frank, has called for the reconsideration of the studying of the Nile Water file, describing the idea of signing of a new agreement on the sharing of the Nile water without the agreement of Egypt and Sudan as incorrect
The EU diplomat who was speaking in press conference in Cairo, Thursday, expressed the EU concern over the split of the Nile Water Basin countries into two groups, calling on the concerned parties to find solution for this issue and not to work for further complication to the existing political problems
The statement of the EU diplomat came in the background of the meeting of seven countries of the Nile Basin Countries, scheduled to be held in Uganda, on Friday to sign a cooperation framework agreement on sharing of the Nile water
