Dr. Nafie and US Charge d' Affairs Discuss Joint Issues
Khartoum, June, 29 (SUNA) - The Presidential Advisor, Dr. Nafie Ali Nafie, and the US Charge d' Affaires to Sudan deliberated Monday on the talks held lately in Washington on the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) and a number of issues of mutual interest. The US diplomat pointed out in press statement following a meeting with Dr. Nafie that they discussed a number of issues top of them was the implementation of the CPA, the coming elections, self- autonomy for south Sudan, progress of Darfur negotiations and the general situation in Sudan. He described the meeting as fruitful and constructive, adding that he briefed the Presidential Advisor on his views with regard to the talks that were held in Washington lately. IF/MO
