Dr. Lam Akol Launches his Election Campaign in Malakal
Malakal, Feb. 28 (SUNA) - Chairman of the Sudanese People's Liberation Movement (Democratic Change), Dr. Lam Akol, launched his election campaign for the Presidency of the Republic at Malakal, South Sudan. Dr. Akol addressing a mass rally at Malakal Saturday affirmed his party's concern over the democratic change and the peaceful handling of power in South Sudan, indicating that the coming stage necessitates carrying out reformation programs by all the Sudanese political parties
He pointed out that the current political transformation prevailing in the country was a result of the sincere efforts being exerted by the people of Sudan, pledging that if he won the presidency of the Southern Sudan, he would continue the implementation of the development projects in the South , combating of the political and administrative corruption, economic reformation, exploitation of the available resources and the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA)
Akol arrived in Malakal Saturday morning and held press conference at Malakal airport, tackling the necessity for launching his election campaign in Southern Sudan
