Dr. Ismail: UN, AU, Arab League and OIC will Participate in Al-Bashir's Inauguration
Khartoum, May 24 (SUNA) - The Presidential Adviser, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, has affirmed participation of the United Nations, African Union and the Arab League as well as the Organization of Islamic Conference in the Sudan's celebration of the inauguration of Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir as the elected President of the Republic on Thursday
In a press statement at the premises of the National Assembly Monday, the Presidential Adviser said that invitations were extended to the neighbouring countries and the regional and international organizations to take part in the celebrations
Dr. Ismail referred to the participation of the Deputy Secretary General of the Arab League in the occasion, pointing out that Amro Musa apologized for his participation in a conference in Brazil
He confirmed participation of the Libyan Leader, Muammer Al-Qaddafi, in his capacity as the chairman of the current session of the Arab League
Dr. Ismail also referred to the participation of the President of Malawi and Chairman of the African Union, Dr. Bingu Wa Mutharika, the OIC Secretary General Ihsan-Oglu, and the Senegalese President, Abdalla Wade, in the inauguration of President Al-Bashir
