Dr. Ismail Lauds Role of UNAMID in Darfur
Khartoum, April 22 (SUNA)- Chairman of the External Relations Sector at the National Assembly, Dr. Mustafa Osman Ismail, has appreciated the role of the UNAMID in Darfur and its contribution to success of the recent election process in Darfur
This came when Dr. Ismail received Thursday at the General Headquarters of the National Congress Chairman of the Joint UN and African Union Mission for Darfur (UNAMID), Prof. Ibrahim Gambari
In a press statement after the meeting, Dr. Ismail said that he discussed with Gambari progress of the relations between the government and the UNAMID. Dr. Ismail said that he assured at the meeting Sudan respect to the role of UNAMID and the country's readiness to fully cooperate with it for restoring security and stability in Darfur
