Doha, Feb. 2 (SUNA)- Chairman of the government delegation for the negotiations in Doha, Dr. Amin Hassan Omer, said that he expects a major development this week at the level of the coordination between the Darfurian movements that are currently existing in the Qatari capital, Doha. In a statement after a meeting between the government delegation and the mediation in Doha Wednesday, Dr. Omer stressed that the government delegation is ready to participate in the negotiations. He said that the mediation has informed the government delegation about the developments pertinent to commencement of the negotiations, and indicated that the mediation is engaged in continuous consultations with the movements. He said that the movements are now required to agree on a particular formula for unity or coordination between themselves, emphasizing that the government party is ready to join the negotiation on the basis of any formula. Dr. Omer said that he expects the mediation to declare the agenda of the negotiations within the coming few days, adding that all the delegation are optimistic and willing to take part in the negotiations, but did not yet achieve a final formula. He expressed his expectation that the negotiations would begin early next week. He said that the negotiations would begin between the government and the ready delegations till the others get ready and join the negotiations. Dr. Omer said that the American envoy for Sudan, Scott Gration, is expected to arrive in Doha in the coming three days. MO/MO
