Committee for Demacation of Border between the North and the South Resumes Activities
Khartoum, April 27 (SUNA)- The process for demarcation of the January 1st 1956 border between north and south Sudan has reached advanced stages, anounced Head of the committee, Prof. Abdalla Al-Saddiq
In press conference held Tuesday, Prof. Al Saddiq said that the committee has finalized sortting out of data and demarkation of borders on papers and entered the phase of practical action
He said that the next step will include aerial and ground survey to be followed by land-marking
He stated that the demarkation requires cooperation of the people living near and along the border, adding that no side will be affected by the demarkation
