Civil Aviation Corporation Describes European Union Decision as Unprofessional

 

Khartoum, Mar. 30 (SUNA)- The acting Director of the Public Civil Aviation Corporation, Abdul-Hafez Abdalla, has described the decision of the European Commission to ban on flying of Sudanese planes in the European air spaces as unprofessional, because the Sudanese air companies have no airlines to Europe

 

In a statement to SUNA, Abdalla affirmed the commitment of the state, represented in the Public Civil Aviation Corporation, to the international standards and criteria stipulated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)

 

He referred to the recent ratification of the Council of Ministers to the aviation strategy which aims to enhancement of the aviation services to cope with the directives of the ICAO and boost the aviation and air safety

 

Meanwhile, the spokesman of the Public Civil Aviation Corporation, Dr. Abdul-Hafez Abdul-Rahim, said that the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) is the international official body which is responsible for evaluation of the criteria of aviation, adding that Sudan has implemented 80% of the recommendation of the ICAO which has inspected Sudan's aviation work
