Chairman of Egyptian Observers' Mission Describes Polling as Progressing Smoothly and Calmly

 

Khartoum, April 12 (SUNA)- Chairman of the Egyptian international mission for monitoring the elections in Sudan, the Advisor Abdul-Atti Al-Shafie, has described the voting process as progressing smoothly and quietly, adding that large numbers of male and female voters have shown great response to the elections

 

He said in a statement to SUNA that the Egyptian mission did not observe any violations that might affect the polling process, referring to some delay in the voting process in the first day

 

Al-Shafie said t they got assured that the polling process has reached 90% Monday at some centers

 

He said that the Egyptian, European and Russian monitoring missions are sharing identical positive views on the voting process in the past two days
