Chad Rejects Entry of Khalil Ibrahim to its Territories, Declared him Persona non-Grata Deby to Visit Sudan next Week

 

N'djamena, May19 (SUNA) - The Sudan News Agency (SUNA) learned that the Chadian authorities rejected entry of the Leader of the Justice and Equality Movement (JEM), Khalil Ibrahim, to its territories and declared him persona non grata despite that he was inside N'djamena Airport since Tuesday

 

Diplomatic sources in the Chadian capital told SUNA that the step came in the context of maintaining of the distinguished and stable relations between the two countries

 

The sources announced that the Chadian President, Idris Deby, will visit Sudan next week to attend the oath-taking of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir

 

Meanwhile, Sudan Ambassador to Chad, Abdala Al-Sheikh, has denied news reports that Chad refused to receive Sudanese cultural convey, explaining that the convoy was postponed due to the absence of the Chadian Minister of Culture who is now outside of the country

 

The ambassador appreciated the deeply-rooted relations between the two countries and the continuous efforts to promote them further
