Case Of Sudanese Charged With Murdering 3 Year-old Girl For Mention On April 28

 

SHAH ALAM, March 18 (Bernama) -- The case of a Sudanese charged with the murder of a 3 year-old girl in Cheras last year has been fixed for mention on April 28.

Deputy Registrar Sharina Ali Pitchay fixed the date when case documents were handed before the High Court today.

Deputy Public Prosecutor Yong Leou Shin appeared for the prosecution while the accused Mohannad Taha Ismail, 24, was represented by counsel J.Kuldeep Kumar and Tania Scivetti.

Mohannad Taha was charged with intentionally causing the death of Aaliyah Ayman Hussin Abdullah at unit 9/D3/9 Palazzo Tower, Venice Hill Condominium, Batu 9 Cheras, Hulu Langat, between 7.30pm to 8.30pm on Oct 12 last year.

No plea was recorded for the charge under Section 302 of Penal Code which carries the mandatory death sentence upon conviction.

Newspaper reports claimed that Aaliyah Aiman died from sexual abuse by her mother's Sudanese boyfriend at a condominium in Cheras.
