Cabinet Expresses Satisfaction over Performance of National Unity Government in Past Five Years
Khartoum, Jan. 7 (SUNA) - The Council of Ministers, chaired by the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, has expressed its appreciation of the performance of the national unity government during the period 2005 - 2009 in various axes and the major achievements realized during this period. The Council of Ministers reviewed in its session Thursday a comprehensive report presented by the Minister of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, Costi Manibi, on the performance of the government during the past five years in different axes, which included the implementation of the peace agreements, human rights, the enhancement of the defence and security capabilities, the general freedoms, diplomacy, the economic performance, the infrastructures, education, health, scientific research and culture. The spokesman of the Council of Ministers, Dr. Omer Mohamed Salih, said that the cabinet expressed its satisfaction over the report and directed the concerned circles to forward it to the information bodies.
