Arab league, Humanitarian Affairs Delegation Visits Darfur
Al-Fasher, May. 6 (SUNA) - A delegation of the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, headed by General Commissioner of Humanitarian Affairs, Dr. Suleiman Abdul-Rahman, accompanied by the representative of Arab League to Sudan, Ambassador Salah Halima, and the Director of the American Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs visited Fasher city Wednesday
The acting Wali (governor) of the state, Idris Abdalla Hassan, who received the delegation lauded the national and Arab efforts in supporting the people of Darfur and to provide assistance for the needy
He expressed the state's keenness to boost the coordination and cooperation with all the concerned circles, referring to the stability of the security and humanitarian situations in Darfur
Meanwhile, the representative of the Arab League to Sudan reviewed the development projects being implemented by by the Arab League for supporting the voluntary repatriation programs and establishment of the model villages. IF/MO
