Amro Musa to Attend Inauguration of Arab League Establishments in Darfur

 

Khartoum, Jan 16 (SUNA)- The Arab League Secretary General, Amro Musa, is expected to visit Sudan on February 12th within context of the joint mechanism between the Arab League and the government of Sudan , announced Arab League's envoy for Sudan, Salah Haleema. Musa is expected to attend inauguration of thee hospitals and villages funded by Arab countries to bring about stability to the region. Haleema said that the Arab League's Council will hold a meeting at the level of envoys in one of Darfur states to affirm the Arab World's support Darfur and its encouragement to the voluntary repatriation through provision of better services and rehabilitation. He said that Musa will also hold meetings at popular and official levels to get informed on the real humanitarian and security situations in Darfur. He said that Arab League will partake in the meetings of donors, the European Union, the United States, Japan, the African Union and the Arab League and a number of international organizations, which is scheduled on January 18th in Doha. Haleema has described as optimistic the coming talks for improvement of the Sudanese - Chadian relations and flexibility shown by the armed movements. AH/MO
