Al-Bashir Wins 1208 Votes in Center (23) in Al-Obeid City

 

Khartoum, April 17 (SUNA)- The candidate of the National Congress for the presidency of the republic, Omer Al-Bashir, has won 1207 votes at the center (23) in Al-Obeid city, the capital of North Kordofan, the candidate of the People's Congress, Abdalla Deng Niyal, won 41 votes, the candidate of Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM), Yasser Arman, won six votes, Mubarak Al-Fadil of the Umma Party for Reform and Modernization won three votes, Saddiq Al-Mahdi of the National Umma Party won 26 votes, the independent candidate Kamil Idris won 18 votes, Abdul-Aziz Khalid of the Sudanese National Alliance won two votes, Hatim Al-Sir of the Democratic Unionist Party won 22 votes, the candidate of the Sudanese Communist Party won three votes, the independent canididate Mohmoud Ahmed Jiha won two votes, Munir Sheikh-Eddin of the New Democratic National Party won five votes, and the candidate of the Sudanese Socialist Party won five votes

 

Concerning the voting for the position of the Wali (governor) of North Kordofan State, the canididate of the National Congress Muttasim Mirghani won 967 votes, the candidate of the Democratic Unionist Party Mirghani Abdul-Rahman won 135 votes, and the candidate of the People's Congress Suleima Al-Busaili won 110 votes
