Al-Bashir Pledges to Recognize Referendum Result

 

Yei, Mar. 2 (SUNA) - The candidate for the presidency, Omer Hassan Ahmed Al-Bashir, has pledged to recognize the result of the coming referendum of south Sudan whatever it is

 

Addressing a mass rally in Yei town on the launching of his election campaign in Central Equatoria State Tuesday, Al-Bashir affirmed his commitment to complete the implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA0. He stressed that there will not be return to war

 

He called for the unity of all the national efforts for the building of the single and united Sudan

 

Al-Bashir called on the citizens of Yei to participate in the elections and to choose the persons whom they see as proper for serving Sudan in the coming stage

 

He reiterated the state commitment to support the basic services in the south at the educational, health, agricultural and developmental fields

 

Meanwhile, the Presidential Advisor and leader of the Umma Party, Engineer Abdalla Massar, called on the citizens of Yei area to vote for Omer Al-Bashir for the position of the president of the republic in the coming elections

 

He said that voting for Omer Al-Bashir is the real guarantee for completing implementation of the Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA), referring to the various accomplishments of Omer Al-Bashir in the fields of petroleum, higher education, communications, dams, roads and bridges
