Al-Bashir Affirms Holding of the Elections in the Fixed Time
Khartoum, Feb. 25 (SUNA) - Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir affirmed that the elections will be held in the fixed time, stressing that Darfur will join the coming elections
Addressing a big women gathering of the Umma Party for Reform and Development in Omdurman, Al-Bashir said that the Sudanese people have the right to choose its representative through the polls
He said that Darfur is now secure and stable, and that there no justification for postponement of the elections, adding that the last general elections in the year 1086 were not adjourned due to the war in south Sudan. He stressed that Sudan is capable to defeat the evil conspiracy thanks to the cohesion of the national rank
Al-Bashir has lauded the struggle of the Sudanese women and their effective contribution to all the national causes, hailing the role of Mahdism in laying down the pillars for Sudan national unity
Meanwhile, the leader of the Umma Party for Reform and Development, Al-Zahawi Ibrahim Malik, affirmed his party's support to the nomination of Omer Al-Bashir for the presidency
He said that the firm stance of Al-Bashir concerning the independence of the national decision has motivated the party's people to affirm their support to him
