Agricultural Bank finalizes preparations to inaugurate 12 branches in Gezira State to focus on micro finance
Khartoum 15.05.2010 (SUNA) - The Sudanese Agricultural Bank is completing preparations to open some 12 branches in the villages of Gezira State in the coming few days in order to focus micro finance and funding the agricultural season besides encouraging the rural saving. Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters of the Sudanese Agricultural Bank, on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of the Bank, General Director of the Bank, Awad Osman, said these branches would be real additions to other 12 braches that are already in Gezira State. He further revealed that the Agricultural Bank has adopted an initiative for micro-finance in North and South Kordofan States, in collaboration with the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) and the Central Bank of Sudan, called Absomi.
