Aggar Calls for Work to Boost Unity and to Avoid Separation

 

Khartoum, May 4 (SUNA)- The elected Wali (governor) of the Blue Nile State, Gen. Malik Aggar, said that his programme for the coming period is based on completing implementation of projects as included in the national five-year development strategy, explaining that his programme in the coming stage aims to completing establishment of infrastructures, implementing the people's consultation programme and enhancement of the security situation, especially that several weapons are at the hands of citizens

 

At the regular news forum of Sudan News Agency (SUNA) Tuesday, Aggar called on all the Sudanese people to work for the unity of Sudan, referring to the serious risks that would result from separation between the north and the south

 

He said that any separation between the north and the south would pave the way for more cessations in Sudan

 

He stressed that the unity will guarantee much benefits and interests for the people of Sudan

 

Aggar warned that time for the referendum on the future of south Sudan became near, calling on the politicians to fulfill their commitments and to the people of south Sudan and to work for building confidence, calling for a document or a charter between the concerned parties to keep away from any reason for separation

 

He stressed the importance of paving the way for voluntary unity between the people of the one nation and recognition of the diversity in ethnics and beliefs

 

On investment, the Wali (governor) said that his state has worked out a special plan and established a special body for boosting investment in the Blue Nile State, but the lack in suitable infrastructures is impeding utilization of the vast resources in the state
