1.25 Million Citizens Return Voluntarily to their Home Villages in Darfur
Khartoum, Jan. 21 (SUA) - The total number of the citizens who voluntarily returned to their home areas in Darfur has reached 2.250 million till the end of the year 2009, said the Commissioner General for Humanitarian Aid, Hassabu Mohamed Abdul-Rahman. He said in a statement to SUNA that these displaced citizens voluntarily returned to more than 651 home villages. Abdul-Rahman said in a statement to SUNA that the voluntary repatriation is considered the best indicator for the stability in Darfur. He affirmed the state's keenness to provide security and services at the villages of voluntary repatriation toward ending the displacement issue. MO/MO
